A full day of work finally! This week we launch the ESPHome Starter Kit, which was originally announced to be released 3 months ago. 🙈 I'll be in the background acting producer, which is my favorite kind of participation in these.
Yes, I love being on our live streams. But being a host for a product launch is way more exhausting than being a part of our release parties.
Managed to get fully caught up with work despite the loss in hours last week. That feels good. 😌
Whenever I get imposter syndrome, I try to remind myself that my ability to work quickly and the way I track my tasks ensures that I am very good at my job.
Forgot that I needed to order a new power cable for my monitor so that I have two screens for work, though, so I did that today. And also a trash can. Because we're still just tossing waste in a bag that sits on the floor. 😅
Next big thing that I want to get for the house is gardening tools because the garden needs some love. That will have to wait until I get paid next, though.

lmao hilarious that today posts this article about job anxiety today after my noting of the imposter syndrome I feel occasionally yesterday. 😂
This week I finally feel like I've left the veil of fog that this move has given me over the past 3 months. But it also means that I have so much more I need to get back into at work. I profusely thanked a couple people who have been shielding me from some responsibilities at work as I start picking up the tasks I used to own.
Overwatch Season 4 started this evening and with that came rank reset. Let's see if I can finally climb out of Silver and back into Plat where I was. 😂

Launch day for the Starter Kit! 🎉 Today is going to be a loooooooong day.
I expect to get my power cable for my monitor today so I can have two screens - that will help me so much during the live stream. Working on a single monitor for the past week has been so painful (at least not having internet for most of this has made it easier, tbh).
Today is truly just a day of meetings. My lead, Mel, warned me that once people got used to me being on European time they'd start putting a ton of meetings on my calendar. She was not wrong. 😂
Placed high Gold for my Overwatch placements, so on my way up to Plat again! 👏🏻

I did not get to sleep until 1:30 this morning and my body decided to wake up at....7. wtf
Yesterday was a very long day of work, about 15 hours. Today I started later but will still be getting off very late - have a meeting with our Creator Network and we're going to present some new perks they will receive soon.
When it hit about 1pm, I started feeling the lack of sleep. 😭

I wanted to log off early today and that did not happen, lol. Not a bad thing, I definitely got better sleep than I did Wednesday night (though I didn't fall asleep until close to 1), I was just hoping I wouldn't have as much work as I ended up having.
I received samples of the swag we'll have for our booth at IFA Berlin and was tasked with testing its durability. ~yeet~ Today just ended up being some adhoc meetings and random tasks I needed to complete.
It was 34c here yesterday and today it hit 36c - but we've managed to keep the house cool enough that most of it hasn't got higher than 24/25c. The attic is a completely different situation, though... Need to figure out how to best get that cool, because even if it were my office it wouldn't be cool enough for me to work...

Today it is just me alone! Rhys and Chris are heading to Amsterdam to get their residence permits! 🥳
This means....Overwatch and laundry!! 😂 Gonna knock out the laundry a little earlier in the day because it's expected to hit 28 today. Perfect temp to dry clothing outside.
Except it decided to be a little rainy today, so I dried everything inside. One thing I miss about dryers is that they make the clothing fluffy. Don't really get that with hang-drying things.
Found out the husband accidentally gave the child the OVpay card instead of the paper ticket they bought to get back onto the IC train, pulling money out of our account to cover the overage. 😣 That plus spending €30 on 2 sticks of deodorant from the US Amazon store, there goes €60 for basically nothing. 🙃

Just a really chill day today. Nothing special happened, really.
Discovered that something we ordered ages ago was delivered to the Den Haag address instead of being forwarded to our new address, probably because it was delivered by someone other than postNL. Reached out to our former host to see if he could forward that over to us if he finds the package. 😅 He's still in Hungary and won't be back in the NL until Friday, so here's hoping his neighbors grabbed the package and it isn't still sitting outside the front door....it's supposed to rain all week. 😬
I'm very pleased to say I've made it into Plat in Overwatch. Lifeweaver win rate has been around 60% - which is just a wild stat in the game.
